The Arcam team has excelled itself with the new rCube and, in the process, defined a new standard in iPod speaker systems. The rCube combines high performance portable audio with compact size, reflecting the ease of use, convenience and portability that the iPod and iPhone delivers. The rCube isn’t tied down by power cables, it offers truly portable sound of astonishing quality.
The design brief for the rCube didn’t stop at making it portable. The rCube had to accept music wirelessly from an iPod, iPhone , iPad or computer. To achieve this two wireless “dongles” were developed to work with a PC / MAC or an iPod, iPhone or iPad. These devices, the rWand and rWave offer flexable options to stream music straight to the rCube. The rWand plugs into your iPod, iPhone or iPad and streams you tunes stright to the rCube while also controling volume. It turns your iPod into a virtual remote control for the entire system.
The rWave is a USB device and plays music from your computer via iTunes, Windows Media or other streaming services from up to 100m away**.
